NTNU Graduate Student Scholarships

 Eligibility:
First-year international graduate students who are not currently receiving any other scholarships from organizations within Taiwan.

Amounts awarded:
Master program: 
For the first year, students will receive partial tuition waiver for their baseline tuition fee, and stipends of NTD $6,000 per month
For the second year, students will receive partial tuition waiver for their baseline tuition fee, and stipends of NTD $6,000 per month for 12 months. To continue receiving scholarship for the second year, both of the following conditions must be met: (a) you must be recommended by your department or your institute and (b) have taken a minimum of 12 credits in the first year.
Ph.D. program:
For the first year, students will receive partial tuition waiver for their baseline tuition fee, and stipends of NTD $6,000 per month.
For the second and third year, students will receive partial tuition waiver for their baseline tuition fee, and stipends of NTD $6,000 per month for 24 months.To continue receiving scholarship for the second and third year, both of the following conditions must be met: (a) you must be recommended by your department or your institute and (b) have taken a minimum of 12 credits in the first year.

How and When to Apply:
A. Apply for this scholarship while applying to the university (for degree-seeking students): check the appropriate box for this scholarship during the online application process. The application deadline for this scholarship is the same as the deadline for applying to the university. The deadline date is posted each year in the prospectus. B. Master’s program for the second year and Ph.D. students for the second and third year: Department or Institute provides the list of recommended students along with their first-year academic transcripts of each student to the OIA two weeks before the semester starts.

How applications are evaluated: Each department determines which of their students will receive a scholarship or tuition waiver. It is the department's responsibility to submit a list of award recipients and their application forms as well as any other relevant documents to the Office of International Affairs.

*NOTE:
Scholarships may be revoked, stopping all further payments for any of the following reasons:
(a) failure to register for classes;
(b) dropping out of or being expelled from school;
(c) engaging in inappropriate behavior.
